From the Airport:
Changi Int'l airport is about 20km east of the city centre. A 1-way airport transfer booked thru hotel costs S$55 from 7am – 10pm (S$65 from 10pm - 7am); or about half that if you take a taxi from the stand outside Arrivals (make sure the driver takes the Expressway & does not take you on a tour of the island). Or you can jump into an airport shuttle - a six-seater shared maxicab departing every 15-30 mins between 7am and 11pm - which will take you to any hotel in the centre for about S$8pp. There are also trains and buses but these are not convenient for Chinatown.
